Ercan ÇELİK

Article | 2023 | Advances in Mathematical Physics2023

In this article, we investigate a nonlinear Petrovsky equation with variable exponent and damping terms. First, we establish the local existence using the Faedo-Galerkin approximation method under the conditions of positive initial energy and appropriate constraints on the variable exponents p & sdot; and q & sdot;. Finally, we prove a finite-time blow-up result for negative initial energy. Keyword: global existence; wave-equation

Article | 2023 | Applied and Environmental Soil Science2023

Soil bacterial and fungal communities were investigated in relation to soil type and farm management practices after vegetation harvesting in autumn. Soils from fields cultivated with Phaseolus vulgaris (bean) and Pyrus comminus (pear) and nonarable, natural areas were studied. Microbial diversity was analysed using cultivation-dependent methods (isolation of pure cultures) and cultivation-independent methods (direct extraction of DNA from soil, followed by PCR amplification of the 16S rRNA and 18S rRNA genes). The use of cultivation-dependent methods revealed that there were no differences in the biodiversity of the soil bacterial . . .and fungal communities between fields cultivated with bean plants and pear trees. However, the use of cultivation-independent methods showed that there were clear soil and crop type-specific effects on the composition of the soil bacterial and fungal communities. The density of the bacterial population was two times higher in northern mountain-valley serozem (NMVS) soil samples than in light chestnut (LC) soil samples. In contrast, the densities of the fungal communities were almost equal in the studied soil types. The density of the actinomycetes community was almost two times higher in LC soil than in NMVS soil under bean plants. The Shannon index values showed that the bacterial biodiversity in the NMVS soil samples was greater than that in the LC soil samples. Soils under fallow appeared to have diverse bacterial communities that mainly consisted of local autochthonous microflora and a small amount of zymogenic microflora (since fresh plant residue does not enter the soil). The Shannon index results revealed two interesting facts: (1) the soil bacterial community was highly diverse in soils that supported bean plants and (2) the soil fungal biodiversity was high under pear trees in both soil types. Exponentially Convex Functions on the Coordinates and Novel Estimations via Riemann-Liouville Fractional Operator

Ercan ÇELİK

Article | 2023 | Journal of Function Spaces

In this study, the modification of the concept of exponentially convex function, which is a general version of convex functions, given on the coordinates, is recalled. With the help of an integral identity which includes the Riemann-Liouville (RL) fractional integral operator, new Hadamard-type inequalities are proved for exponentially convex functions on the coordinates. Many special cases of the results are discussed. Keywords: hadamard-type inequalities; rectangle

Effects of Glucomannan on the Sacculus Rotundus and Peripheral Blood Lymphocytes in New Zealand Rabbits during Aflatoxicosis

Hasan Hüseyin DÖNMEZ

Article | 2012 | The Scientific World Journal

This study was aimed to determine the effects of the glucomannan added to aflatoxin- (AF-) contaminated diet on the sacculus rotundus and peripheral blood lymphocytes of New Zealand rabbits by histological and enzyme histochemical methods. Twenty-four adult rabbits of both sexes were divided into four equal groups, namely, as control, glucomannan 0.2 g/day, AF 125 μg/kg/day, and glucomannan combined with AF. The animals in all groups were treated for 12 weeks by the above-mentioned diet. When compared to control, AF-treatment caused significant decrease in alpha-naphthyl acetate esterase- (ANAE-) positive peripheral blood lymphocyte . . . (PBL) percentages. The addition of the glucomannan to AFcontaining diet recovered the adverse effects of AF on sacculus rotundus and increased the ANAE-positive PBL counts. These results suggested that glucomannan was effective against the negative effects of AF in rabbits More less

Article | 2023 | Journal of Applied Mathematics2023

In this study, we applied an approximate solution method for solving the boundary value problems (BVPs) with retarded argument. The method is the consecutive substitution method. The consecutive substitution method was applied and an approximate solution was obtained. The numerical solution and the analytical solution are compared in the table. The solutions were found to be compatible. Keywords: approximate solution; boundary-value problem; numerical solution; retarded argument; solution methods; substitution method; boundary value problems

Article | 2022 | Journal of Mathematics2022

In view of the core process data such as temperature and humidity of the tea product packaging process and the automatic control operation parameters of the production line, this paper designs a smart tea product packaging 5G Internet of Things gateway system, which realizes the 5G Internet of Things onsite monitoring and remote monitoring of the tea product packaging production line equipment. The design and implementation of the 5G Internet of Things gateway system are divided into three aspects, namely, 5G Internet of Things gateway configuration design, data communication protocol conversion. First, the 5G Internet of Things gat . . .eway configuration is to design the relevant control information of the tea processing production line equipment and complete the configuration storage of the PLC controller; secondly, the data communication protocol conversion is to pass the Modbus/TCP OPC standard to transfer the collected 5G Internet of Things. The sensor data undergoes unified standardized conversion, and then the standardized converted data is sent to the database and server using the MQTT protocol; the data processing of the 5G Internet of Things gateway system is the design of the internal data of the 5G Internet of Things gateway. Finally, the test was carried out and the results were obtained, which proved that the designed 5G Internet of Things gateway system is useable, reliable, has good stability and scalability, and provides an important solution for the construction of smart tea product packaging in the industry. The tea product packaging system based on 5G Internet of Things technology compiles electronic production management files for tea garden production, tea picking, tea processing, tea packaging and other links in accordance with the requirements of the national agricultural product quality and safety related systems and industry standards, and has become the traceability of tea quality The recorded important production management information provides important information support for the traceability of the whole process of tea More less

The Effect of Chlorpyrifos on isolated Thoracic Aorta in Rats

Oğuz KUL

Article | 2013 | BioMed Research International376051

This study investigated the effect of chlorpyrifos on thoracic aorta and on the level of NO in plasma and aorta. The effect of chlorpyrifos on thoracic aorta in organ bath was determined in 10 rats. Another 45 rats were assigned to 3 groups with 15 rats each: control group 1 received distilled water, control group 2 was given corn oil, and the last group was given 13.5 mg/kg chlorpyrifos dissolved in corn oil every other day for 8 weeks orally. Chlorpyrifos (10−10 M–10−5 M) showed no effect on isolated thoracic aorta. Plasma AChE activity was decreased, while LDH, ALT, GGT, and AST activities were increased in chlorpyrifos group com . . .pared to control groups. Plasma NO level was increased in chlorpyrifos group compared to control groups. iNOS expression was present in all groups in the cytoplasm of the endothelia and in the smooth muscle cells of aorta. According to semiquantitative histomorphological analysis, iNOS immunopositive reactions were seen in the decreasing order in chlorpyrifos, control 2, and control 1 groups. eNOS immunopositive reactions were observed in the endothelial cell cytoplasm, rarely in the subintimal layer, and the smooth muscle cells of aorta. There were no differences among the groups in terms of eNOS immunostaining. In conclusion, chlorpyrifos induced NO production in aorta following an increase in NOS expression More less
