Article | 2023 | MANAS Journal of Engineering (MJEN)11 ( 1 )

In this study, poly(2-hydroxyethyl-sodium methacrylate) (p(HEMA-SMA)) hydrogels were synthesized as a novel adsorbent to remove antibiotic residues from environmental samples. [p(HEMA-SMA)] co-polymers were synthesized by the free radical photopolymerization method. Synthesized hydrogels were characterized by different methods such as Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), elemental and scanning electron microscope (SEM), and surface area calculations. The average size surface area of the synthesized hydrogels were 1.515 µm. Penicillin G (Pen. G) was used as the sample antibiotic for the adsorption process. The absorption o . . .f the drugs was studied under different environmental conditions. Medium pH, temperature, and hydrogel concentration were varied to achieve the highest absorption. The specific adsorption value (Qmax) of p(HEMA-SMA) copolymers was found 303.03mg/g for Penicillin G at the 0,35 mg/mL of initial Pen. G concentration. In conclusion, we suggest a novel microstructure, selective, low-cost adsorption polymeric material for the removal of Pen. G as the template antibiotic. О преемственности в изучении колебательного движения в курсах физики и теоретической механики

Tamara KARAŞEVA

WolframAlpha More less

A Numerical Approach to Solve Integro-Differential Equations System

Mustafa Haluk ÇELİK | Bülent BAYRAKTAR

Article | 2012 | European Journal of Scientific Research80 ( 4 )

In this paper, we represent a numerical method to solve linear and nonlinear integro-differential equations system. By this method, we can find the solution of the system by power series and reproduce the analytical solution if the exact solutions are polynomial, otherwise we find their's Taylor series. The comparison of the approximate solution and exact solution shows that the used method is easy and practical for linear and nonlinear integro-differential equations system. The package Maple 13 is used for computation.- Keywords: Integro-differential equation, Power series, Approximate solution, Exact solution.

Epidemiological analysis of the diagnostic results of COVID-19 infection in Bishkek by real-time PCR method

Article | 2022 | Frontiers in Life Sciences and Related Technologies3 ( 1 )

The aim of the research is to analyze the diagnostic results of infected people with the COVID-19 in Bishkek. Therefore, in this study, with the aim of epidemiologically analyzing the COVID-19 infection in the city, diagnostic PCR research was carried out at the Center for Quarantine and Highly Dangerous Infections of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Laboratory of Virology and Rare Infections. During the period of operation from 01st May 2020 to 31st March 2021, 28,863 samples from patients of the Sverdlovsky and Pervomaisky districts of Bishkek were examined by the real-time PCR. For laboratory diagnostics of CO . . .VID-19, according to the recommendations of the WHO and Russian regulatory documents, obtained biomaterials from the upper respiratory tract like swabs from the nasopharynx and oropharynx were used. Biological materials were collected from patients with symptoms of upper respiratory tract infections and from patients who contacted with COVID-19 infected people applied to Family Medicine Centers in Bishkek city for the purpose of preventive examination and treatment. The samples were identified by real-time PCR, in accordance with the “biological safety” rules. From 28,863 samples 3,255 positive and 25,575 negative results were found. In the study, the largest number of samples from patients with symptoms of COVID-19 infection was recorded in June, and July, 2021, as 7,604, and 4,074, respectively. In June, 738 positive results were detected from 7,604 samples, while in July, 540 positive results were detected from 4,074 samples. This period is estimated to be the acute dynamic period of the epidemiological situation in Bishkek (Pervomaisky and Sverdlovsky districts). The epidemiological situation was stable in August and September, with the number of infected in August was 17 cases, and in September 2 cases. However, since September 2020, the number of infected people with COVID-19 has been growing. Besides, the results of PCR diagnostics from 01st January to 31st March 2021 indicated that the epidemiological situation was assessed as “relatively stable” More less

Biotechnological valorization of sugar beet wastes into value-added products

Acar Makambay Kızı | Ayçürök MACİTOVA

Article | 2023 | MANAS Journal of Engineering (MJEN)11 ( 1 )

The sugar beet processing in the sugar production industry releases huge amounts of sugar beet pulp, lime residue, and molasses, which can be considered a valuable by-product as a source of cellulose, hemicellulose, and pectin. Sugar beet pulp is often used as a high-energy, low-protein supplement for ruminants to promote optimal rumen health and increase milk production. However, it cannot be used in large quantities and is thrown away, causing environmental pollution. Valorizing sugar beet processing wastes via biotechnological approaches into value-added products is cost-effective and eco-friendly. In this article, recent develop . . .ments in the biotechnological valorization of sugar beet byproducts to produce biofuels, bioethanol, butanol, biomass and platform chemicals such as gluconic acid, lactic acid, rhamnolipid biosurfactant, and endo-polygalacturonase were reviewed, and the methods provide a way to save the environment. Several sugar beet processing plants in the Kyrgyz Republic can offer these methods as a roadmap for value-added production. Keyword: pulp; lime residue; organic acids; biofuels; biomas More less
